Activities: Kayaking
We cross Drake Passage only once on our inaugural sail/fly voyages, giving us a shorter voyage overall without missing out on the highlights of the Antarctic Peninsula. Our goal is to travel south to the Antarctic Circle, to visit remote regions of exquisite beauty, like The Gullet and Crystal sound. Our route may be challenged by pack ice and storms, but the rewards are incalculable. Our sea kayakers paddle in waters rich in wildlife and hopefully, we all visit haunting historic sites amidst stunning scenery that few will ever see, making this a voyage you’ll never forget.
“Cruising past the Antarctic circle, it's easy to see how difficult conditions were for early explorers. Our comfortable ship Polar Pioneer and its experienced crew travels without a rigid timetable, setting course based on a combination of conditions, passenger's interests and our famous enthusiasm for discovering new places.”
