Adding to the classic Antarctic expedition we include the Weddell Sea area known for its heavily iced waters and tabular icebergs. We navigate these remote and icy waters carefully in search of wildlife such as the Adélie penguin, Pintado and the remote possibility of a sighting of the elusive Emperor penguin. The program then continues to the South Shetland Islands and Peninsula area.
